Initially, I saw myself writing about writing most of the time. Unwriting, as I like to call it. Speaking of which, my book The Art of Unwriting releases August 31st. You can now pre-order the kindle version for $2.99.

My writing has been transitioning to promoting the writing.

Some of you couldn't care less about promotion. Maybe you just enjoy writing. You might not even turn it into a book yet. Let alone read about promoting a book that isn't there.

So why on earth follow posts about promoting your work?

Because they're rooted in the same principle: stepping aside.

That's why I renamed this publication from WordSpill to Stepping Aside. The website changed from yourihermes.com to steppingaside.com too.

If you like reading different expressions of this nondual-oriented principle, whether applied to promoting your writing or anything else, this publication might be just as relevant as before.

We're all promoting our work anyway. Maybe through plain conversations. The joy of sharing what you realized. Posting occasionally without turning it into a book. Your ideas are still being seen. And that's what I find myself writing about these days.
