The Confusion Is the Business Field
What happens around our book.
A business field comes with your book. The book makes it visible.
A field means endless possibility. Space where things could take shape. You float in this space. Sometimes it feels disorienting, like you’re missing something.
That disorienting feeling might be the field opening.
Adopting someone else’s marketing system doesn’t shortcut this. They moved through their own space. Their uncertainty became clarity. By the time they map it for you, the territory has shifted for both of you.
The field keeps surfacing options anyway. Sometimes I think Meta ads would make a difference. But my attention drifts elsewhere. You might be thinking about that newsletter you stopped using. Your website feels outdated. You’re not posting consistently on Substack. Maybe these things need attention, maybe they don’t.
Things are already in motion. We follow what pulls us. The floating has a rather strange quality to it. Uncomfortable because there’s no ground. Magnetic because anything could surface, through watching what wants attention.
Everything continues attention shifts on its own. What matters at the moment rises. What doesn’t stays dormant until something changes.
It’s genuinely hard to say anything useful about this. Just that the field holds more than any strategy can ever capture. We’re already in it and it’s already moving.
