When Your Book Isn't the Sun
Reverse gravity in your business ecosystem.
A book feels like a clever center. It provides something solid for everything else to gather around.
The community, the coaching, the online course. They all connect to the book. At least, that’s how we imagine it working. But it could just as well work the other way around.
Your coaching reveals the questions people actually ask. Your community shows which ideas land. Your programs expose the gaps between concept and practice.
The book (and workbook!) emerges from all that movement. An artifact of the field already alive around your work.
The gravitational pull comes from your coaching, community, programs. The book appears because of that weight, reflecting what’s already moving.
Some authors imagine their book as the spark that creates a business around it. A community forming, speaking invitations, new clients. A book can definitely help with that. But it rarely works in isolation.
It’s more of a mutual reinforcement: your services and programs help the book find its readers, while the book amplifies and gives shape to the rest of your work. One carries the other, and together they move.
The field forms through your work. The coaching unfolds. The community gathers. The courses take shape. Then the book condenses from what’s already present.
The book becomes inevitable rather than aspirational. Substance already exists. The book captures it. Your ecosystem holds the weight. The book reflects the light emanating from everything already alive.
